The ingredients needed to make Grandma’s Apple Pie:
  1. Prepare 300 g Plain Flour
  2. Get 200 g Lard
  3. Make ready 200 g Sugar
  4. Get 6 apples
  5. Get Cup whole milk
  6. Prepare Cup water
Steps to make Grandma’s Apple Pie:
  1. Mix the flour and Lard
  2. As the dough is too dry.. add a splash of water and milk equally. Just enough so the dough is easier to kneed and is manageable
  3. Grease the tin/dish and lay your rolled dough in. Leaving some and the trimmed excess for the top.
  4. Peel, quarter the apples. Add to pan of boiling water until a little softer or as desired.
  5. Drain the apples thoroughly.
  6. Add the sugar to the apples and mix and mash leaving some fruit form and not just pulp.
  7. Add the mixture to the dish.
  8. Add the dough to too and seal.
  9. Place into the oven at 200 C. And cook until a little golden. (25 mins)
  10. Allow to cool on trivit. Sprinkle some sugar. Serve.
