Spaghetti bolognese (sometimes called spaghetti alla bolognese, or colloquially 'spag bol', spaghetti with meat sauce, or just spaghetti) is a pasta dish that is popular outside Italy. This traditional Bolognese is flavored with garlic, oregano, and a hint of Worcestershire sauce. Everyone needs a basic spaghetti bolognese recipe that still tastes great, no matter how simple. Get that depth of flavour by cooking the sauce very gently until it's super rich. It doesn't take a lot of ingredients (or a lot of money) to make a classic Bolognese recipe.

Instructions to make Spaghetti Bolognese:
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a cooking pot. Add garlic and onion, stir it until fragrant
  2. Stir in carrot and celery, let it cooked about 2 minutes
  3. Add basil, oregano, and parsley stir it about 1 minute
  4. Add ground beef, cook until no longer pink (about 5 - 7 minutes)
  5. Stir in tomato paste until combined, and then add crushed tomato / tomato puree), season with black pepper, salt, and sugar. Let it coil until thickened
  6. In other cooking pot, cook spaghetti of your choice. Drain the noodle, place it on a plate, add Bolognese Sauce on the top, and mix it well
  7. Add some grated Parmesan if you like it

Get that depth of flavour by cooking the sauce very gently until it's super rich. It doesn't take a lot of ingredients (or a lot of money) to make a classic Bolognese recipe. What it does take, though, is patience for the sauce to achieve the ideal authentic texture. This sauce is ideal for spaghetti, but can be used with any kind of pasta - great for Lasagna as well.
